This section of the table summarises the total sheep numbers, expected total volume of wool and total area grazed by sheep.

As per the table above, cost of production can be calculated in either $/hd, $/ha or c/kg grsy. These cost of production calculations can be used to determine profit objectives and hence aid in determining a marketing strategy when setting reserves,. In the following section, "Budgeting" the c/kg grsy figure can be used.

Each of these budgeting figures can also be used in benchmarking programs on a district/state/national basis.
